AI companies are trusted more than news media<\/strong><\/h3><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Despite the endless debate about deepfakes, AI hallucinations, and the threat of job losses, <strong>&#1082; AI-&#1082;&#1086;&#1084;&#1087;&#1072;&#1085;&#1080;&#1103;&#1084; &#1087;&#1086;&#1079;&#1080;&#1090;&#1080;&#1074;&#1085;&#1086; &#1086;&#1090;&#1085;&#1086;&#1089;&#1103;&#1090;&#1089;&#1103; 13% &#1088;&#1077;&#1089;&#1087;&#1086;&#1085;&#1076;&#1077;&#1085;&#1090;&#1086;&#1074;<\/strong>. The press is in the same category as arms manufacturers<\/strong><\/h3><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The study&rsquo;s most dramatic finding is that, in terms of public favorability, news companies are now virtually on par with <strong>arms manufacturers (Arms manufacturers)<\/strong>.<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Arms manufacturers<\/strong>: 9% positive ratings and 52% negative.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>News media<\/strong>: 11% positive ratings and 50% negative.<\/li>\n<\/ul><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Journalism, historically built on public trust, now finds itself in the same reputational &ldquo;high-risk category&rdquo; as the defense industry and the tobacco or gambling industries.<\/p><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What about the rest of the IT sector?<\/strong><\/h3><ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Big Tech<\/strong> maintains a 12% positive rating&mdash;slightly higher than news media, but on par with AI.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Social networks (<\/strong> <strong>Social media<\/strong> <strong>)<\/strong> &#1087;&#1088;&#1086;&#1074;&#1072;&#1083;&#1080;&#1083;&#1080;&#1089;&#1100; &#1077;&#1097;&#1077; &#1075;&#1083;&#1091;&#1073;&#1078;&#1077;: &#1080;&#1084; &#1087;&#1086;&#1079;&#1080;&#1090;&#1080;&#1074;&#1085;&#1086; &#1086;&#1090;&#1085;&#1086;&#1089;&#1103;&#1090;&#1089;&#1103; &#1083;&#1080;&#1096;&#1100; 8%, &#1072; 64% &#1086;&#1087;&#1088;&#1086;&#1096;&#1077;&#1085;&#1085;&#1099;&#1093; &#1074;&#1099;&#1088;&#1072;&#1078;&#1072;&#1102;&#1090; &#1087;&#1088;&#1103;&#1084;&#1086;&#1077; &#1085;&#1077;&#1076;&#1086;&#1074;&#1086;&#1083;&#1100;&#1089;&#1090;&#1074;&#1086;.<\/li>\n<\/ul><hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are witnessing a fundamental crisis in the news industry.
