A smart solution for growing your business

SKAMREVS is a young Lithuanian brand specializing in custom embroidery on T-shirts and hoodies. Its clothing is designed and produced in Lithuania. The brand's slogan: Own the Streets. Wear the Culture.

The challenge: to build a street-style, minimalist online store. It had to support five languages while remaining manageable for a small team without dedicated translators.

WooCommerce store with a custom theme

It is based on a ready-made theme for WordPress. I customized it for the brand and added my own modules. The customized parts of the theme alone contain around 7,000 lines of code.

  • A catalog featuring collections (New Collection, Halloween Collection) and products with variations (color, size). Variations are selected using swatch buttons rather than standard drop-down lists.
  • A product gallery with separate logic for mobile devices. I fixed an issue that caused the gallery to appear empty after a hard page refresh on phones.
  • Dark header and footer, retina-quality logos, and WebP images.
  • Search with live suggestions and a mega menu.

Our own loyalty program: “SKAMREVS CARD”

Каждый зарегистрированный покупатель автоматически получает скидку 10% на все заказы.

  • In the account dashboard looks like a bank card with standard ID-1 dimensions (85.6 × 54 mm). It displays the cardholder’s name and a unique number in the format SK-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX, which is generated from the user ID, with gold accents on a black background.
  • In the sidebar guests see a promotional card with “Create Account” and “Sign In” buttons. Logged-in users see a compact card and account menu.
  • In the shopping cart the discount is calculated automatically and displayed as a separate “SKAMREVS CARD (10%)” line item, so there is no need to enter any promo codes.

The idea is to turn registration into a clear, tangible benefit. Customers immediately see what they get, making them more likely to sign up.

Multi-step checkout

I replaced the standard long checkout form with a multi-step one:

  • a “Step X of Y” indicator and a summary of contact and shipping details at every step;
  • step-by-step validation with one-click navigation to the field causing the issue;
  • clear error messages (with separate handling for network failures, firewall blocks, and 403, 404, 429, and 5xx server errors);
  • a technical panel with error details visible only to administrators, helping them identify the cause of the issue faster;
  • a dedicated “Thank you for your order” page with product images, quantities, and a confetti animation.

Wishlist without registration

Favorites are stored in the customer’s browser (localStorage), so the feature works immediately, without an account or any server load. The code also includes a module for encouraging wishlist notifications. It is currently disabled: I left it as a starting point and decided not to pressure customers.

Multilingual support: 5 languages and AI-powered translation

The site is available in English, Lithuanian, Latvian, Estonian, and Russian languages. I completely rewrote the language switcher: it has a flat, minimalist design and works consistently—by tapping on mobile and hovering on desktop. The different language versions of each page are linked, so users remain on the same page when switching languages.

How the translation system works (September 2026):

  1. I created an account on Microsoft Azure and deployed my own model there GPT-5 SOL, which is connected to the site.
  2. For bulk translation of all static pages (about the company, policies, shipping, returns, interface), the most powerful model was used GPT-6 Astra. This delivers the highest quality, but at a high cost. It is justified for a one-time content migration.
  3. For new articles and products, which are added regularly, are translated using a more cost-effective model in the GPT-5.1.

This approach delivers high quality where errors are most costly (legal and key pages), while keeping costs reasonable where content is constantly growing. As a result, the client does not have to pay for the most powerful model with every publication.

Legal requirements and analytics

  • Cookie consent banner with separate options: “Necessary only,” “Accept all,” and “Customize.” Google Analytics is enabled only after the user gives consent.
  • Cookie Policy, Return & Refund Policy, and Shipping Policy pages compliant with EU requirements (GDPR).
  • SEO markup: canonical tags, Open Graph, Twitter Cards, meta descriptions, and an integrated Google Site Kit.

How the website operates today

The owner adds products and blog posts in English. Translations into the other languages are generated automatically by the integrated AI and edited manually when needed. The loyalty discount, checkout, and interface language selection work without my involvement. I handle enhancements and support.

What this means for your project

  • You need a multilingual online store for the European market and do not want to spend your budget on manually translating every page.
  • You need a customer-facing loyalty program that runs automatically.
  • You need a checkout that does not put customers off and makes it easy to identify errors quickly.
  • You need to integrate AI into the website's workflows while keeping costs under control.
